Abby Clawson

Abby is the Operating Partner, Accounting & Reporting at Greybull Stewardship where she is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance functions of Greybull’s portfolio companies, with a focus on creating operational efficiencies to support growth and scaling. 

Abby’s background includes serving as the head of finance at multiple PE & VC-backed companies, where she gained invaluable experience in strategic leadership, financial planning, M&A and fundraising. As the finance leader of these organizations, she supported their growth through implementing process improvements that increased productivity and data driven decision making, while fostering employee engagement. 

Her early career experience at Morgan Stanley and KPMG taught her how to build best-in-class accounting and finance departments. Having worked for reputable organizations such as Game Changer, Congressional Bank, Finjan and Axios Media, Abby has curated a wealth of experience and expertise in various industries and company stages.

Abby is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she earned her BS in Accounting and MBA. Abby serves as a board member for the Giving Foundation for Women & Children, a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower the lives and transform the futures of underserved women and children.

After attending Syracuse University Abby lived in NYC for 10 years before settling in Washington, DC where she resides with her husband and 2 fur children. They enjoy summers at the CT shore where Abby grew up, and winters visiting family in Florida.
